Description

Collate Education for Mississippi, Inc. has operated in the Jackson and Clinton Mississippi for nearly 20 years. We offer the initial Director’s Daycare Training and the renewals for specified endorsements in your area of expertise. Day Care Director Training/Credential Director Associate (CDA) is offered to anyone that desire to work with children in a licensed preschool setting. There are no classroom settings for our candidates. Our training is offered through correspondence courses and daily to weekly contact online. The candidate is not required to have employment with a child care facility upon entering our program. However, the candidate will be expected to gain experience for our program completion and their individual state requirements to operate a child care facility. After three years the endorsement received from the council, may be applied towards your renewal(s) in Preschool Center Based or infant/Toddler setting. Our renewals are designed to implement 45 clock hours that are recommended for completion of your CDA Credentials at Collate Education for Mississippi.

Our
Objective

Upon completion of your Initial Credential Training Certificate and Renewal Certificate, the candidate will be able to:

  • Promote a safe and healthy learning environment for children

  • Promote physical, cognitive, gross motor, fine motor skills for children

  • Promote communication, creativity, self-awareness and socialization skills

  • Promote family and children guidance in/out day care centers

  • Promote program management professionally to all stakeholders

Our trained staff implements state-approved child care clock hours of training to licensed childcare centers in all 82 counties in Mississippi. Our training is offered through correspondence courses and daily to weekly contact online. The candidate is not required to have employment with a child care facility upon entering our program. However, the candidate will be expected to gain experience for our program completion and their individual state requirements to operate a child care facility.

Requirements to enroll are listed below:

  • At least 18 years of age

  • High School Diploma, GED, Special Requirement Certificate

  • Valid E-mail address

  • Access to Computer

  • Physical and or P.O. Box Address

The Initial Director Training consist of:

  • Training Hours 120

  • Training Experience Hours 480 Licensed Center (Volunteer or Paid)

  • Assist with application for council test

  • Assist with Portfolio of Tools (Resource Binder)

  • Implement 13 Module Test

 

Knowledge Assessments of Candidate for Renewal:

13 Modules, Final Exams, and an additional 45 hours/4.5 CEU's in the areas of:

  • Competency Matching

  • Fill in the Blank

  • Short Answers

  • Extended Answers
